here is my story
Hi! My name is Mike Giambertone and I'm a Health Coach with Take Shape For Life. As a chiropractor, I have been teaching and preaching healthy habits and lifestyle for over 10 years. As you can see from my before picture, I wasn't exactly living it. My obsession with health came after watching my father pass at the age of 52 from atherosclerotic heart disease; that's hardening of the arteries and plaqueing caused by our typical American lifestyle. My heaviest was 245, but in that first picture I had lost 10lbs and felt pretty darn good. I even did a triathlon when I got down to 224. Still, I had hypertension and my cardiologist wanted to put me on medication. Given my family history, it's no wonder why he wanted to do this. But there had to be a better way. As a former collegiate athlete, I did what I knew, re-dedicate myself to the gym and start pounding the treadmill and weights again. To my dismay, the weight barely moved even while I was eating a healthy organic diet. A few months of this went by until I got a phone call from a good friend of mine, also a doctor. He was helping patients in his office with this new program that created health, not a lose weight quick scheme. I reluctantly decided to offer this to my patients after he asked me when the last time my powerful chiropractic adjustment helped a patient lose weight. He was right! Although I was helping my patients through chiropractic, I wasn't serving them as a whole. After seeing a handful of my own patients lose weight and begin to reduce medications, I put myself on the program. I experienced incredible results my first month and I was soon at my goal of 190lbs. I have been between 190-195 since March 7th of 2008 and enjoy LIVING again.
